His Holiness, Tenzin Gyatso,
the Fourteenth Dalai Lama of Tibet, will visit the Tibetan Cultural
Center, 3655 Snoddy Road, Bloomington, Indiana, from April 12
to April 14, 2002. The purpose of his visit is to officiate at
the Opening Ceremony of the Chamtse Ling, an International Peace
Temple, and to dedicate it for the promotion of world harmony.
In addition, His Holiness will participate in other events to
be organized by the Tibetan Cultural Center. Details about these
events will be released at a further date.
The Tibetan Cultural Center
will begin construction of the Chamtse Ling before the end of
this month. It is scheduled to be completed in time for His Holiness
visit in April.
