LOSAR 2004

The Tibetan Cultural Center will celebrate Losar on February 21 and 22
Come join us for a special weekend of traditional Losar rituals and celebrations

We have as special guest, Stephen K. Hayes of the Quest Center in Dayton Ohio who will be offering two workshops on meditation.

Saturday, February 21

For all Tibetans and the general public

Losar Rituals in Chamtse Ling including chanting, offering Khata's to His Holiness' picture and throne, and eating desi (A trditional Losar rice dish) in Kitchen of the Chamtse Ling.

Potluck lunch and movie: "Tibetan Losar Festival 2002" This movie features traditional Tibetan Losar songs and dances at the previous Panchan Lamas residence in Amdo, Tibet. In the TCC building.


*Circumambulating the Stupa on the way to the Chamtse Ling will generate good merit*

In the Chamtse Ling "Heroic Compassion: Six Powerful tools for doing good in the six realms of confusion" This workshop, conducted by Stephen K. Hayes of the Quest Center in Dayton Ohio, will consist of several short meditations and personal-life explorations based on the ideal of operating more like a Chenrezig-type character who effects change in the six realms of psychological turmoil by means of the six paramitas; generosity, discipline, patience, perseverance, meditation, and wisdom.
