to Visit Indianapolis and Bloomington, Indiana
September 3 to 13, 2002

Drepung Gomang Monastery 2002 Tour Group
During this time of remembrance of the events occurring on and continuing since September 11, it is auspicious that nine Tibetan Buddhist Monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery will be in Indiana during the first two weeks of September 2002. This Tibetan Monastery of the Gulugpa sect has been re-established in South India under the direction of His Holiness The Dalai Lama. Their message of peace, compassion, and non-violent conflict resolution will be shared through a variety of events. The Monks began their 2002 tour in February at the Tibet House annual fundraising concert at Carnegie Hall, performing with David Bowie, Philip Glass, Patti Smith and Adam Yauch.
